Fun for a pirate costume...
I bought this to be a part of a pirate costume, and I think it worked great. The skirt is double lined, so you don't HAVE to wear a slip. But be aware that the bodice is a single layer of very sheer cotton. I got an underbust corset to go with this and hoped to not have to wear a bra. But yeah...it would have been indecent without a strapless bra!Also, the sleeves will definitely come back up onto your shoulders. So be aware that it won't remain off-the-shoulder unless you constantly adjust it.Regarding fit, I'm a 38DD and completely filled up the bodice. Without the corset it looked like the dress was up under my armpits. Like, less than an empire waist. Ladies with a smaller cup size would probably look really cute wearing this as is. I won't though.The construction is ok for the price. I don't think it would hold up for repeated washings. I was satisfied though, and had a great time at Mardi Gras.
