Get the Assassin’s Creed weapons you need to accessorize your Assassin’s Creed costumes. Adding weapons to the Assassin’s Creed costumes will bring the costumes to life, as these popular games are all about fighting to defend the freedom of using free will against the complete control of the world’s minds by the Templars.

When I first began searching for the weapons I wanted to use to accessorize the Assassin’s Creed Costumes, I was very excited as the photos looked so authentic.

After many hours of searching, I became very disappointed because so many of the weapons are made out of plastic. They look fabulous in the photos, but not in real life. Many of the weapons are expensive plastic toys, instead of well-made props.

Out of the hundreds of Assassin’s Creed weapons I have looked at, I have narrowed it down to just a few of each style. Unfortunately, I was not able to feature all of the weapons I wanted to feature from each game as they just were not available in a high-quality product I could stand behind.

With that being said, I did find beautiful high-quality daggers and swords forged by skilled blacksmith craftsmen, similar to the blades used in the eras of history featured throughout the Assassins Creed timelines. I have found artfully made replicated weapons and props which are perfect for any Assassin’s Creed costume event you want to attend.

Although swords and daggers were the prefered weapons of the Assassins and Templars in the Assassin’s Creed video games, flintlock pistols and muskets were used in the Assassin’s Creed III and IV games as were muskets and long-range rifles. In the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate game, pocket pistols and revolvers were used by the twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye in Victorian London.

The first weapons that appear in the games are the hidden blade gauntlets. I am featuring the best I could find, however, again I was disappointed in many of the gauntlets I came across.

These are the only hidden blade gaunlets I could find for an Altaïr or Ezio Renaissance Assassin’s Costume and that is the only reason I am featuring them here. They are both made out of plastic with a rubber blade. I do like the one featured on the left the best because of the detailing. The black shading around the embossing gives it a more realistic metal look than the one on the right. See the video below to get a better idea of what you are getting for the price.

The plus for the one on the right is that it has a faux leather bracer instead of a plastic bracer like the one on the left. With that being said, unless you absolutely have to have this gaunlet for an Ezio costume, I wouldn’t recommend buying either of them.

The arm gauntlet is detailed PVC plastic to look like a leather pirate gauntlet with silver-tone studs down the edge of each side. It fits over the forearm with an adjustable plastic strap, which you put your arm through to wear.

The hidden blade on this gauntlet is mounted on a PVC plastic arm guard. Attached are two adjustable Velcro straps that are meant to go over the plastic arm brace to hold both pieces on your arm. A cool looking silver-tone skull and Assassin’s Creed emblem embellish the top of the hidden blade. There is an ON/OFF lever at the emblem end that is the blade lock. It will lock the blade in place to prevent it from accidentally firing. The skull piece is the firing mechanism. When unlocked, press the skull and the blade springs out quite well.

The blade itself is painted with cool detailing to look like distressed antique metal, but it is actually pliable rubber. It is not very strong and won’t actually hurt anyone (unless you stick it in someone’s eye).

Included is a plastic skull buckle, approximately 3″ wide, which has the awesome appearance of distressed 1700’s metalwork. I found a pretty neat video for you to watch for modification ideas. Start the video at 1:14 / 3:28 to get right to the modifications.

Here we have two different Assassin’s Creed V: Unity Phantom Blade Gauntlets at just a couple of dollars difference in price. EzCosplay’s gauntlet is on sale for a little while (the one on the above left), but I don’t know for how long. Pick the one that looks the best for you.

I don’t see a lot of difference in the photos myself. They are both made in China from two different companies. EzCosplay has made their weapon from PVC. The one featured on the right is made of plastic to resemble both leather and wood. Neither of the blades have safety locks, which I feel is a manufacturing flaw.

So far, I have had good luck with the costume props that EZCosplay makes. I have emailed them before with custom adjustments I have wanted on props and they have made the adjustments for me for just a few extra dollars. Their customer service through email has been excellent. I do recommend giving their products a try. If you do, you can make a request to add a safety lock to your weapon.

A very cool looking gauntlet made for righties only. I looked for a long, long time for a lefty gauntlet and finally found one. It’s featured below. As with all the other gauntlets, this one too is plastic. I selected this one over the McFarlane Toy version as it is much sturdier, the housing has a better design to it, and it is more of an adult size. Also, the firing and locking mechanism seem to work better.

In my opinion, it seems to be more of an adult costume prop than the McFarlane version. The McFarlane version laces up instead of being one solid piece and it is very small, fitting a 12-year-olds arm rather than the arm of an adult.

A lefty Assassin’s Creed hidden blade gauntlet replicated from the Movie gaunlet and made out of PVC. The retractable 8-inch blade is suppose to be stainless steel with intricate acid etched designs, however, one reviewer stated it is chrome plated copper. I doubt it is copper as copper is more expensive than stainless steel! More than likely, if it is chrome plated, it is chrome plated brass. On the other hand, another reviewer stated it’s 220 stainless steel so go figure. Perhaps one reviewer is incorrect on the metal?

The blade has to be extended and retracted manually with a metal slide. It is NOT spring-loaded. It is shipped unsharped for safety purposes. Keep in mind this is a costume prop and not a real weapon.

Assassin’s Creed III Tomahawk Battle Axe

These are all well made, high-quality, replicated Connor Kenway tomahawks. The tomahawk is used by Connor, also known as Ratonhnhaké:ton, a Mohawk Native American Assassin during the Revolutionary War period in the Assassin’s Creed III video game.

The two tomahawk hatchets featured above have stainless steel blade heads and wood handles. The weapons are wrapped in suede leather and accented with wood pieces and feathers giving them an authentic look and feel.

I looked at dozens of different Assassin’s Creed Conner tomahawks and I think these the best ones. I was surprised they are a much lower price than some of the replica toys I looked at that were mostly made of foam and latex. These two examples are very realistic. The feathers used are real feathers where some of the pricier versions used metal feathers or had none at all. The stainless steel makes them very sturdy, they won’t rust and they can be sharpened.

These two are not toys for a child. They are collectible pieces for Assassin’s Creed fans to be hung on a wall or to be used by an adult for costume props at LARP, cosplay events, theater events, or with elaborate Halloween Costumes.

British OSS Smatchet with Hardwood Handles

Not really a dagger or a short sword, the British OSS Smatchet is a short, heavy, double edged fighting knife. It was developed by knife fighting expert and instructor Capt. William E. Fairbairn during WWII for the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) and British SAS (Special Air Service) to be used for clandestine missions behind enemy lines. It is sort of a cross between a bolo knife and a machete. Fairbairn’s design was inspired by the Royal Welsh Fusiliers Trench Knife of WWI, and was designed strictly as a combat knife. Smatchets are usually made with a razor sharp cutting edge on one side with 1/3 of the reverse edge.

This full tang satchet is a replicated version of the British OSS smatchet made as an Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate weapons prop. The double edged blade is high carbon steel with the typical blued matte finish. The blade is partially sharpened on the top edge for shipping purposes. The hardwood handles have a high carbon steel guard, an aluminum pommel with lanyard hole, and a black leather belt sheath with hardwood liner.

A 24K gold plated replicated Egyptian Bast Short Sword. Bast, or Bastet, was the Egyptian Goddess of war in Lower Egypt. Her parallel goddess of war in upper Egypt had the head of a lion. Bast image was represented by the head of a fierce lioness. Later in Egyptian history it changed to the image of a cat head and the name changed from Bast to Bastet which it is still today.

The sword is beautifully constructed of solid metal for the handle. It’s cast with intricate details and an antique 24K gold plated finish. The blade is double-edged tempered stainless steel with a Damascus-etched blade finish. This 24K gold edition is limited to 2400 serialized pieces. La Volpe’s Bite was the sword presented to Ezio Auditore da Firenze by his friend La Volpea when the Assassin was campaigning in Rome. It was presented as a reward for completing all the challenges he was tasked with by La Volpe’s Roman Thieves’ Guild. After losing the Sword of Altaïr, in the Fall of Monteriggioni, La Volpe’s Bite temporarily became Ezio’s strongest sword in Rome until he was able to retrieve the Sword of Altaïr.

In the Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles video game, the timeline is 1190 AD. Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad travels to the Middle East to battle Templars from the Ottoman Empire in Turkey in his quest for “the Chalice”, a sacred object which has the power to unite all factions and to bring an end to the 3rd Crusade. The chalice is said to bring victory to the side that possesses it.

The sacred Chalice is considered to be too powerful for any one side to have in its possession. Altaïr is assigned the task by Al-Mualim of finding and destroying the sacred Chalice. Altaïr travels to Jerusalem where he battles Lord Basilisk, however, he leaves Basilisk alive. Later in the game, Altaïr fights through the Templar knights in Jerusalem and kills Lord Basilisk in one final confrontation on his ship.

The Scimitar Saber Sword, and the Kilij saber swords are among the styles of swords used by the Turks of the Ottoman Empire’s Templar warriors.

This sword is actually a calvary sword, which is similar in style to the Indian Talwar sword and the old Syrian sword, or the Syrian sabre, which was used by the Levantine Brotherhood Assassins during the 3rd Crusade. Being that it was considered to be one of the deadliest weapons of the time, its usage was only permited by the Assassins achieving the rank of Master Assassin.

The difference between an actual Syrian sabre and this calvary sabre was that the hilt was forged from elegant gold and handcrafted with an elegant, decorative design.

In Russia, during the timeline of 1841 AD, we are following the assassin Arbaaz Mir as he tries to recover the Koh-i-Noor diamond. This timeline takes place during the turmoil of a war between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company.

The Russian Shasqua Sword comes with a leather scabbard fashioned with brass fittings. The swords most notable feature is the sword’s handle which lacks a hand guard, and fits flush into the mouth of its scabbard.

The Khopesh sword is a sickle-sword used as a standard weapon by the Ptolemaic infantry around 465 BC. It was adopted from the Egyptian military warriors. The design of The Khopesh Sword was supposedly replicated by the Hyksos from one that is believed to have originated in Canaan around 2000 BC. The Hyksos reigned in Lower Egypt from 1782 BC to around 1570 BC. There are some descripancies about the date they were driven out of Egypt. Anywhere from 1580 BC to 1532 BC.

The Khopesh Sword was a specific type of khopesh sickle-sword based on the Canaanite configuration of the weapon. Its blade was a darker metal than other sickle-swords of the same name. The edges of the blade were not as keenly sharpened as other sickle-swords. They were thicker around the edges forming a sort of rim with a rounded edge. This indicated the weapons were used more for hacking rather than slicing. It also had a wider guard than a regular khopesh sickle-sword.

The Odyssey game is a sequel to the Origins game. The game is set in Greece circa 431 BCE, which is 400 years prior to the events of the Assassin’s Creed: Origins game. What the Origins lacks in detail is made up for in the Odyssey game. The main character of the Odyssey game is Alexios or Kassandra who is a descendant of the Spartan King Leonidas I. The king used the sword to win the battle of Thermopylae. Alexios/Kassandra is a mercenary who has inherited King Leonidas I broken spear. Only descents may inherit the spear. The broken spear is an ancient artifact of emmense power which has been forged into a blade that grants the bearer of it special abilities to use in combat.
