Vampire Hunters and Vampire Slayers are basically the same things. They do what their names say they do. They hunt and kill vampires to keep mortals safe.
The two most popular vampire hunter costume styles have been brought to us by Hollywood’s film industry through the various Van Helsing films and The Blade Marvel superhero vampire hunter film series. They are the most popular vampire hunter costumes trending right now.
Vampire hunters and slayers have been around for a long, long time. We have seen them in many earlier vampire films and television series too. Where there’s a vampire existing there is a vampire hunter seeking to kill it.
The third most popular vampire slayers have arrived through video games and manga anime series. I am including costumes from Hellsing Alucard, Castlevania, and from The Witcher.
There are two different Alucard dhampirs characters by the same name from two different genres. Go figure. I am featuring vampire hunter costumes for both of these popular anime characters.
Alucard (Dracula spelled backward), Trevor Beaumont, and Sypha Belnades are vampire hunters who have gained in popularity through the Netflix TV series inspired by the video games, Castlevania. Alucard is a dhampir (vampire-human hybrid) as is Blade, by-the-way. Alucard joins forces with a vampire hunter, Trevor Belmont, and a magician, Sypha Belnades to hunt down and kill his father, vampire Count Dracula.
Alucard is also featured in the Hellsing Alucard manga series created by Kouta Hirano. The manga series has been turned into a popular Japanese TV series. Hirano has taken his characters from Brom Stoker’s Dracula novel. Alucard, who is the son of Dracula, makes a blood pack with Abraham Van Helsing tying him to the Hellsing Corporation as a vampire hunter.
The Witcher video game has been running for quite some time. It was adapted from novels written by a polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski. The novels were first adapted to comic books and then to the video games. Movies have also been produced based on his books and inspired by the video games. The Hexer (2001 film), The Hexer (2002 TV series), and now The Witcher (Netflix TV series) was to be released in late October 2019. On October 10th the released date was changed to TBA late 2019. The Witcher series is said to have the feel of The Game of Thrones, so I am anticipating a very entertaining series. The characters featured in this series (See costumes below) battle many different fantasy monsters including vampires.
Men’s Van Helsing Vampire Hunter Costumes
Abraham Van Helsing has been played in many Hollywood movies by many different actors for many years. For example: Edward Van Sloan in the 1931 Dracula, Peter Cushing in the 1960 The Brides of Dracula, and Anthony Hopkins in the 1992 Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Rutger Hauer in the 2012 Dracula 3D, David Warner in the 2013 TV series Penny Dreadful, and Leslie-Anne Huff, Steven R. McQueen, and Matthew Davis in The Vampire Diaries. And those are just the most famous actors. There are many more.
The costume sets I am featuring first are for characters from the Van Helsing film. First you will see Gabriel Van Heslin costumes and accessories. Gabriel Van Hesling has been called the son of Abraham in many films, but he is also called the angel Gabriel who has come to earth in human form. This character has also been represented in many different films and TV series such as the latest with the hot Hugh Jackman in 2004. Tom Cruise was scheduled to star in a reboot in 2020 but it was canceled.
Men’s Van Helsing Hunter of Monsters Custom Made Cosplay Halloween Costume Outfit
This is a custom made to order costume only. It is inspired by the Gabriel Van Healing vampire/monster hunter character played by Hugh Jackson. If choosing this custom made costume you will need to allow for the time to sew your costume in addition to the shipping time. When having someone measure you, be sure to add a few inches for movement. If you send exact measurements they will make it that way and it will be too snug to move around in.

All of the faux leather boots featured above are available in both brown and black. The genuine leather boots are only available in black. I recommend matching the color of the boot to the color of the coat you have chosen to wear as a Vampire Slayer, however, it is not entirely necessary.

A wonderful Halloween or cosplay costume. It’s perfect for a couple’s Vampire Hunters costume when paired with a Gabriel Van Hesling costume. Create Your Own Anna Valerious Vampire Hunter Costume from Separate Pieces
Selecting separate costume pieces will give you the option of creating a DIY costume you can adjust for a better fit. If you have sewing and embroidery skills all the better to customize the pieces you’ll be wearing with fine detailing.
If you are a creative seamstress you have the option of purchasing a plain bolero jacket, splitting the arm seams, and creating your own embroidery design pattern on the jacket and sleeves to look like movie version costume.
It really makes no difference if you wear a short sleeve or a long sleeve embroidered top under a bolero jacket as the sleeves can be hidden by the bolero sleeves, depending on the sleeve style. As I’m sure you already know, Blade was a Marvel film superhero based on the comic book character of the same name (Duh. Aren’t they all?) Seras Victoria is Alucard’s first fledgling. Alucard takes on the role of mentor and teacher to help Seras reach her full potential. Even though she is a vampire she hunts and fights other vampires along with her master, Alucard. She is a devoted soldier that follows the orders of her mentor and master.
Women’s Hellsing Seras Victoria Vampire Hunter Cosplay Costumes
A Seras Victoria cosplay costume is a fangtastic accessory when paired with the Hellsing Alucard anime character for a couples costume cosplay event. She wears a yellow outfit before she is turned and a blood-red outfit when she becomes saturated with blood after she’s turned into a full vampire. The blue uniform costume comes much later in the anime series. She has blue eyes and a spiky blonde hair style (See below). Once she is turned into a vampire her eyes turn red and her hair turns platinum.
All of the Seras Victoria’s uniforms may be purchased through the sizing chart or they may be custom ordered to your specific measurements.
Please Note:
Be sure to add a few inches to your measurements to allow for movement. Otherwise, your costume will be skin tight. The tailors will make the costume exactly to your measurements.
I have found the easiest way to get accurate measurements is to first have someone help with measuring my body, following the instructions provided on RoleCosplay’s site. Next, measure a top and a skirt that fit you perfectly. Then, compare the two measurements and select the larger of the two.
Additionally, remember to add 3 or 4 extra inches to allow for the seam allowance and for physical movement.
Women’s Hellsing Seras Victoria Blonde Wig Cosplay Costume Accessories
All of the wigs featured above can be gently styled to achieve the look you want for the Seras Victoria anime character. When treated with care, these cosplay wigs can last through many LARP, cosplay, or Halloween events.
Even though these “cannon” weapons are large, they are no ways near as long nor as huge as the weapon featured in the anime films. They measure at approximately 6-feet in length. Both weapons are made of PVC and foam with some metal parts. Assembly is required.
Castlevania Anime Vampire Slayer Cosplay Costumes and Accessories
The idea for the Castlevania Netflix series was inspired by the video game of the same name. It has nothing to do with the manga Hellsing Alucard. The only similarities are the name of one of the main characters, Alucard (Dracula spelled backward), who is the son of Dracula. The Belmont clan is a family of vampire hunters/slayers who’ve been hunting monsters for centuries. Every new generation produces stronger, tougher, and more devoted hunters.
In the video games, Trevor is the son of Gabriel Belmont and the father of Simon Belmont. Gabriel Belmont, later known as Dracula and Dracul, is a knight from the 11th Century and the main character of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow saga. It seems to me, in the Netflix series, this would actually make Trevor and Alucard half-brothers from the same father and different mothers.
Trevor Belmont starts out using a leather bull whip early in the TV series. Later he finds the Morningstar whip in the family’s underground castle vault. It is a combination library, museum, and rectory. The vault belonged to his ancestors where they amassed a huge collection housing an accumulation of all the knowledge, magic, and tools necessary to hunt and terminate preternatural monsters.
In the anime series Sypha Belnades Sypha is a sorceress and priestess vampire slayer from a clan of magical nomad scholars called Speakers. She has control over the elements and uses elemental magic in the battles against vampires and other magical monsters. She aides Trevor and Alucard in destroying Dracula. After Dracula’s death she and Trevor marry, adding her magical abilities to the Belmont bloodline. Her costume pairs with Trevor’s costume for a wonderful cosplay or LARP couples costumes.
Richter Belmont is a renowned vampire hunter featured in the video game, but not the animated TV series. He is a descendant of Juste Belmont, who descended from Simon Belmont, who is decendended from Trevor Belmont. He is the main protagonist of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood in addition to many more games to follow. His timeline takes place in 1792. Richter is said to have been the strongest, most powerful Belmont of all and is described as the “Master Vampire Hunter”.
Richter’s weapon of choice is the Morningstar metal whip. In the game, it is called the Vampire Killer. It was called the Morningstar by his grandfather, where it was inherited.
If they were indeed descendants of the French, their name would have been Beaumont and not Belmont. Belmont is a Norman-English name.
Richter Belmont is married to Annette Belmont. Pair Richter and Annette costumes to create a marvelous couple’s costumes for cosplay events, Vampire Balls, or Halloween parties.
Annette’s dress is a 2-piece French country-style outfit consisting of a white chemise undergarment with long sleeves and ruffled cuffs.
A green satin overdress has an open style front skirt and laces up the front bodice with white lacings. The bodice is printed with a gold Belmont family crest.
Alucard, also known by his real name Adrian Farenheights Tepes, is a dhampir (vampire-human hybrid) from the Castlevania video games and TV series. He is the son of Dracula and a human mother, Lisa. Dracula has trained Lisa to be a physician. Consequently, she is burned at the stake as a witch by the Bishop of the Catholic church. Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha join forces to battle Dracula and his vampire army.
His costume in the series is an elegant, yet ready for battle long black swordsman’s coat, a white shirt, and tall black leather boots. The coat included with this costume package has a yellow pointed collar and yellow trim. Also included is a white sleeveless collarless shirt, a black faux leather belt, a pair of yellow accented black faux leather gloves, and a pair of black pants. The wig, boots, and sword are not included but may be purchased separately next.
Maria Renard is a character in the Castlevania video game series. She is a young vampire huntress. She was born to French aristocrat parents of the Renard clan, which had distant blood ties to the Belmont clan. The Renard’s were known to keep doves as pets for personal magical protection.
She makes her first appearance in the series during the timeline of 1792 when only a 12 years old child. However, at her tender young age she had already mastered magic spells, animal familiars, and the four celestial beasts.
She was captured in a raid by a dark priest named Shaft along with Annette (the fiancée of this current generation’s Belmont warrior, Richter) Iris, a doctor’s daughter, and Tera, a nun. These 3 females were intended to be sacrificed to Count Dracula and were taken to the Count’s castle.
Maria appears in the costume featured above in the video game, “Castlevania: Symphony of the Night”. The year is 1797 when she pairs up with Alucard and Richter to kill Dracula by preventing his resurrection.
The costume includes a white lace trimmed green jacket with a gold collar and sleeve cuff accents, a long gold sash, long black gloves, and knee-high white stockings with black bow accents.
The Witcher Adult Male Geralt of Rivia LARP Cosplay Costumes & Accessories
The Witcher are a series of action role-playing video games based on the fiction chapter book seriesThe Witcher written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. A Netflix film of the same name is to be released for Halloween 2019. The story is a medieval fantasy about one of the last Witchers, Geralt of Rivia.
A Witcher is a nomadic, genetically altered human enhanced with supernatural powers. Witchers are monster hunters who travel within this fictitious world to slay preternatural monsters. They have been trained to slay all sorts of supernatural fantasy creatures, including vampires.
In this fantasy story, there are only a few remaining Witchers and Geralt is one of the last. Geralt is seen wearing several different outfits in the video game series. I have found 3 different styles to feature here. In his travels, he carries two swords strapped to his back at all times.
Geralt is bound to three women in the series; Yennefer, Triss Merigold, and Ciri. Their costumes make awesome couples costumes. Pick the one you like the best to wear with your partner dressed as Geralt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Geralt of Rivia Monster Slayer Cosplay Costumes
Boots are not included with either of the costumes featured above. However, the EzCosplay costume company will custom make a pair of boots to wear with the outfit featured above left. All you really need are a pair of brown riding boots, which you may already have in your costume wardrobe closet.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Geralt of Rivia Cosplay Costume (Boot Covers Included)
Large men should pass by this Geralt costume. It is only made for men with chest, waist, and hip measurements under 49 inches (125 cm). If you are a plus size man with measurements over 49 inches you will not be able to wear this Witcher cosplay costume.
Boot covers are one of the accessories included with this brown Geralt costume. IMHO, they should just be thrown out. I can’t stand vinyl boot covers! 😆 Again, IMHO, they look cheap and make the costume look cheap and tacky. I recommend replacing them with a pair of brown costume riding boots. A pair of boots will enhance the look of the costume instead of cheapening its appeal and authenticity.
Witcher 3 Geralt of Rivia Handmade Leather Baldric Grand Master Ursine Bear School Gear
On first glance, the 2 black cosplay Geralt costumes featured above appear to be the same, and they are very similar. However, each costume set includes something different. Even though the costumes themselves are full sets, the accessories are a bonus to each package and different for each package. The accessories that are not included may be purchased separately from the vendors. Additionally, the costumes can be custom-made in your own measurements for an exact fit. All you have to do is email the vendor with your measurements and instructions for the accessories you would like to have included.
Remember to add a few inches for movement. The tailors will make your outfit exactly to the measurements you send and you don’t want it to fit like a second skin without any stretch. What I have done in the past is I have someone measure me. Then I get a couple of garments that fit me perfectly. I lay them flat and measure. Lastly, I compare the measurements adjusting where needed. I hope that makes sense to you.
The 2 costumes featured above are very basic costumes without accessories. You will have to furnish the accessories you want to complete the look of the Witcher, Geralt by purchasing what you want to use separately.

There were 3 important women in the life of Geralt of Rivia, Witcher monster hunter. They are the sorceress, Yennefer, Lady of Vengerberg; the sorceress, mage and healer, Triss Merigold; and the ward, adopted daughter figure, Ciri. Anyone of these cosplay costumes for women are faboulous picks for a cosplay, LARP, RPG, or Halloween event. Just pick your favorite female character, or your favorite costume from the series.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Women’s Yennefer Black Cosplay Costume
Yennefer, Lady of Vengerberg, was a sorceress born in 1173. She was the love of Geralt’s life. Additionally, she was a mother figure to Ciri, the child destined for Geralt by the Law of Surprise. She treated Ciri like her own child, teaching her about magic.
Yennefer had a very rough childhood. She was born a hunchback. Because of her deformity, her father couldn’t stand the sight of her and hated being around her. He blamed the mother of the child for her deformity because of the mother’s mixed eleven blood. Both her parents beat her. When she was older, with the help of magic, she was able to hide her deformity.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Yennefer Black Wig & Boot Accessories
The lady of Vengerberg was famous for her beauty, even though she was nearly a century old. Yennefer was a petite woman with long curly cascading, raven black hair fragrant with lilac and gooseberry perfume. Her skin is very pale, her face triangular shaped with cold sparkling unique violet eyes. When angery they blaze with livid, blue-gray fire. She wears a black obsidian star embedded in a marigold pendant encrusted with a multitude of sparkling tiny diamonds.
Throughout the story, it is implied her attractiveness is a product of the magic she acquired during her early years of training. Geralt notices her shoulders are slightly lopsided realizing by the end of the story is a hunchback. Nevertheless, his love for her never ceases or diminishes.
Yen is a close friend of Triss Merigold and the youngest member of the Supreme Council of Sorcerers within the Brotherhood of Sorcerers. Like all sorseresses she is sterile which caused her complete devotion to Ciri as the child she would never have.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Triss Merigold 8-Piece Cosplay Costume (No Boots)
Triss Merigold of Maribor was the legendary Temerian sorceress from The Witcher series. She’s a friend of sorceress Yennefer and unhappily in love with Yennefer’s true love, the Witcher Geralt of Rivia. She is called Fourteenth of the Hill because she was thought to have been killed during the Battle of Sodden Hill. She went down in history as Merigold the Fearless.
Triss was like an older sister to Ciri. She took care of Ciri at Kaer Morhen and it was through her intervention that Ciri was rescued from receiving harmful hormone changes, stripping her of her secondary gender traits.
She was a powerful mage, a skilled healer, and carried many magical potions with her at all times. The funny thing about Triss is she never used her potions on herself. Ironically, she was allergic to magical potions. She wore a sapphire silver amulet.
Each one of the Triss Merigold costumes featured above and below are all beautifully made cosplay costumes. Each one is different from the next in detailing, fabrics and cost. You will have to decide which you like the best and which one works the best for your budget. I am more partial to the costumes with the extra detailing on the leather shrug top and with the buttons on the sleeves.
Ciri was born Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon in 1253. She was the only princess of Cintra, the daughter of Pavetta and Emhyr var Emreis, and the granddaughter Queen Calanthe’s. When Ciri was 5 years old her parents drowned at sea. With the death of her mother, was was now the sole heir to Cintra.
Ciri was born a Child of Surprise and it was her destiny to become a Witcher. Queen Calanthe took great care when raising her granddaughter to shield Ciri from the knowledge of her birthright. Ciri learned the truth anyway. Ciri’s nanny told the young princess all the stories she knew about a white-haired Witcher who would one day come for her. She informed the girl that it was her destiny to be trained as Witcher too.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Women’s Cirilla Costume Sets
Spooktacular Vampire Slayer costume separates to help take a big bite out of your costume planning. Create your own fantasy vampire hunter costumes by selecting the pieces you like the best from the pieces I am recommending. What does your dream hunter/slayer look like to you? Men’s Van Hesling Vampire Hunter Long Black Leather Cosplay Costume Coats
Abraham Whistler’s DIY costume is pretty basic and could be put together at home with faded clothing you may already have at home. You might be able to find some of the pieces at local Thrift Shops in your area.
Kris Kristofferson wears two basic costumes in the Blades films. One costume consists of a long sleeve light olive green thermal knit henley worn under a faded green and blue plaid flannel shirt. He wears a brown Carhartt vest over the shirts with brown Carhartt pants.
His second costume is a black leather vest, a gray tank top and a pair of blue jeans. Occassionally he throws on a black plaid long sleeve thermal henley shirt under the black leather vest. A leather wooden stake holder is strapped around his leg.
Men’s DIY Abraham Whistler Long Sleeve Henley Shirts
Usually, wooden stakes are used to hunt vampires by stabbing them through the heart. If you have the time, you can easily make your own leather stakeholder and whittle a set of wooden stakes to fill it. If not, you can find a few sets below.
Some vampire hunters have been known to cut off the heads of vampires with swift sharp swords or long knives. While other hunters prefer the use of Medieval crossbows loaded with wooden arrows.
Garlic does not seem to work when it comes to warding off vampires anymore. Or so I’ve been told.
Modern vampire hunters like Eric Brooks, Abraham Whistler, and Abigail Whistler have added shotguns loaded with specially made wooden bullets to their arsenals. The Winchester brothers (Supernatural TV Series) have arsenals made up of modern automatic weapons and ancient magical weapons to hunt supernatural monsters.
